My name is tony asara, The question i have for the forum is how can we make african americans more aware about ethiopian culture and legacy. I am american but i am shocked at the number of my peers who know nothing about abssynia.

well as we all kno the ethiopian community is getting larger in numbers, that means we have atleast 10-20 % of the student body is ethiopian.  The best way to learn about new culture is to creat international organizhations inside school or out in the community, then whom ever is interested will have a chance to join. That's just my opinion.

I say u guys must prepare festivals more often just like the soccer tounament but this time more on the historical background of Eth and attack haters like those of some political views who always try to tell dirty to the world

that is a great idea i would love to see more organizations in major colleges or even in the african american commnity or churches. Unfortunately america is so consumed with not valuing things like this , some just care about the unimportant things. Maybe someone should come up with a commitee. Great idea !

you have a good idea to my brother , we show incooperate more ethiopian culture in american culture. That would bring balance and knowledge to american society and the african american community

That is briliant Idea but let me tell you some thing if the ethiopians went to america should have to act and express their culture and custome whenever they are It is niether creating international organization nor telling them but it is being cooperative among them selves like jewish they don't tell you or crate organization they only act as who they are but doesn't follow any society custom.

My Idea is being cooperative and always helping each other is the greatest lesson to those who doesn't know Ethiopia.

"doing is better than teaching" many may learn not from what you thought but from what you did.

that is interesting and let me brief the idea relating with my profession , economics. familiarizing the cuntry means providing an opportunity to foriegn direct investment i n many ways . social , economic and cultural diversity etc. so  iwill try to investigate my part  by focusing on its eonomic benefit to the country as well .
